Isaiah 7

Be careful, be quiet, do not fear
nor let your heart be troubled.
The army arrayed to raze your walls
will be reduced to rubble.

So ask for a signal as deep as Sheol:
the Lord will do wondrous work.
He will cut down Assyria, leaving a stump.
And the virgin will give birth.

His promise holds true. These kings of the north
will stagger, stumble, fall.
Believe! Can’t the Lord overcome little lands?
To him, every kingdom is small.

But if you can’t learn to be firm in faith,
you won’t be firm at all.
