Isaiah 3

it’s all upside-down
like a baby on the throne,
like a beggar in a palace.

zion, your kings crumple the lives of the poor
and leave the land a desert.

zion, your prophets trample the law to dust
and tell you pretty lies.

put away your earrings and your necklaces and shoes!
put away your dainty steps, your haughty eyes, your pride!
i will scar your daintiness and shatter all your pride.
i will make you stumble in your high-heeled shoes.

i will take you to court and end your lies,
zion, and evil will return to dust.

i will make a sweet spring in the desert
to revive the righteous poor.

i will put a Shepherd in the palace,
i will put an Infant on the throne.
i will turn it all upside-down.
